sidneycherie: Cle Cle loves poetry… Maybe not reading it, but it’s at least her favorite cuddling material. I nabbed this book from Half Price a few months ago. Anything with “dreams” followed by a question mark is going to make me hand over 5 dollars to read more. So far, Evelyn Lau, who at the time was 21 when publishing this book, has filled “Oedipal Dreams?” with observations of her subconscious confusion. In between references and facetious jabs at Mr. “Everything is Not-So-Secretly About Sex” Sigmund Freud, Lau inserts on-point imagery with lines such as: “Asleep in the bathtub, head bent heavy on the rim/ black hair snaking in a tweedy rip down her shoulder”<
